Updated SMART goal

SMART goal
SpecificWhat do you want to accomplish? What is your goal - specifically?
My goal is to loose 2kgs and work on making my waist (between the rib cage and hips-narrowest part of the torso) slimmer by 1 and half inches-main target area is my abdomen as the waist is apart of it. Which I will try and accomplish by producing an indirect weight loss routine that focuses on cardiovascular endurance (The ability of body systems to gather, process, and deliver oxygen.) but without running. My routine will not just be about cardio, but will incorporate another fitness component, which is ‘flexibility’; as I think it’s important for my body to loosen up in my abdomen (targeted area) in order to reach my goal. Naturally, as you try and loose weight in a specific area, neighboring parts will be affected. Just as me targeting my waist, will have an effect on my lower abdomen decreasing (tummy) slightly along with the surrounding of the waist (back fat). So I intend to loose the 2kgs alongside of the abdomen, but fine if I don’t-long as my waist size decreases.

Measurable: How can the progress of trying to achieve the goal be tracked? How can you measure the progress?
I will be measuring my progress by writing post workout reflections using the method FITTOS. This will help me see, if my goal is achievable and what steps I need to take in order to make it reachable. Possibly changing my routine, if it’s too easy or not effecting/helping me improve on my cardiovascular endurance.

Attainable: Is the goal set realistic? Can it be achieved with the skill level or in the time set?
Yes, I think my goal is achievable as well as realistic, if I work hard and follow my routine. Losing weight is all about the mental situation as the physical performance. And as I lose weight naturally my body will become smaller, but as will my waist due to the targeted exercises that I’ll be doing only to decrease the size.

Relevant: Is the goal set realistic? Can it be achieved with the skill level or in the time set?
My goal is very realistic, as my routine will be sculptured based on my preferences. I cannot mentally run and loose weight. I loose interest (focus long enough to continue running for a certain period of time) and even though it’s the best form of cardiovascular endurance, it’s one thing I cannot do to my maximum potential and give in my complete effort. Which is why my routine will be made without anything to do with running or extreme cardio vascular exercises. Let’s be honest, I’m lazy and I’ll take the simplest way to achieve MY goal, which will suit ME, and MY body. This doesn’t mean I won’t put in an effort, or give in my100% it just means; I’ll focus on doing my very best in aspects I can excel in, or can improve it.

TimeBy what time do you want to achieve your goal by?

I would love to achieve it over the course of a month (4 weeks) working EVERYDAY to achieve my goal. But since I won’t be able to work on my routine every single day excluding our PE lesson’s, I think I’ll need around 6-8weeks-minding the fact ‘realistically’ ill be working out 6-8 times in the total.
